VAULT
Every release is a part of The Tapes signal chain, so we keep track of every logo, mix, tee and artist apparel.
We don’t let just anyone have the key to our heart, but The Vault is open to the chosen few.

Operating out of our concrete cellars in Florence, this repository serves as the independent audio laboratory for the I Live Night By Night collective. This is not a commercial storefront; it is a live ledger documenting the collision of visceral electronic engineering, tape saturation sound design, and ritual mythos.
Every entry cataloged within these walls is driven by the darkStylus studio engine, treating sound not as a passive background track, but as an act of absolute physical storytelling.
-
Every frequency spec inside this vault is organized under a strict, clinical numbering system. These codes—ranging from gothic nordic folk electronica to heavy industrial techno club tracks—denote a specific artist avatar, an uncompromised sound lineage, and a dedicated recording session.
We process all incoming signals through a localized, linear analog desk array. This ensures that every piece of mythic electronic music and haunted industrial blues preserved here maintains its raw harmonic grit before being pressed to physical lathe-cut vinyl.

The archive is actively monitored and constantly mutating to reflect our late-night studio sessions. Our current monitoring array is tracking four primary sonic vectors:
Feverish Armenia tech beats behind Lillit Vega, the heavy ritual electronic bass weight of Amarah Ray, the smoky late night acoustic textures of Etta Vale, and the frozen atmospheric coldwave folklore of Dr. Ronja.

Before I Turned Into A Tree
Meeting up with our sister studio The Datura Press, Etta took inspiration from one of their books to create a tragic tale of a ‘what if’ love.

Ceiling / Sky
All roads lead to Florence. Read how a chance trip helped us discover a kindred soul, and how it lead to the release of Etta’s brutally honest acoustic poetry.
